Black Dot Chess Club

Started in 2022, Black Dot Chess Club is instructional company for children. Our main focus is on keeping the game fun for children while teaching them lessons that are important in life such as sportsmanship, problem solving, critical thinking, concentration, patience, attention span and other skills. Participation in chess has been shown to increase test scores in reading and math

Chess develops analytical, synthetic and decision-making skills that can be applied to real life;

Children learn to engage in deep and thorough chess research which will help them build their confidence in their ability to do academic research;

Chess enables the child to gain insights into the nature of competition which will help them in any competitive endeavor.

This program is run with great success and popularity with many students from Dekalb County, Rockdale County, Gwinnett County, Henry County, Newton County, Home School Co-ops, Independent Schools, and Private Schools. Black Dot Chess Club contributes to the community by being a Partner in Education with many schools, supporting school events, and donating time, free classes, chess sets and other equipment to students.
